Hi PhamIf this behavior just started recently, try using System Restore to go back to a time before you first noticed the behavior.Let us know if this works for you.PS. When posting images, it's better to simply post the URL to the image instead of embedding it in your post. Or you could just reduce the size so that it fits in the message box.Regards,Thank You for using Windows 7 Ronnie Vernon MVP

By default, we cannot create any files on C drive root folder. Could you please test it on other drive or in other folders? Thanks.

Could you please capture a screenshot of folder Security tab?To do it: 1. Choose a folder which you cannot create files in it. Such as test folder. 2. Right click test folder, choose Properties.->Security tab.3. Please capture a screenshot of the tab. 4. Upload the pic file to Skydrive and let us know URL. Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi, This is my screenshot: http://cid-f033ecbc5be32e1c.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/temp/Untitled.jpg I don't think it is a problem, 'cuz I'm logging in as administrator user. I can copy any files to such folders. The only thing I can't do is to create new file by 'new' context' menu. It is too inconvenient. Thanks for your help!

Hi Pham, Thank you for your screenshot and reply. I checked the screenshot. Unfortunately, I cannot view full Group or User Name list. Could you please disable UAC to test the issue again? If it still doesn't work, we will focus on regisrty to troubleshoot the issue. Thanks.

Hi Robinson, oh, yeah, it works successfully. I have thought of that before you told me but I didn't do because I didn't want to be risk when using this new edition Thank you very much. But now, I'm not secured well. :( Moreover, I want to tell you that UAC is a stupid utility (eventhought it has 5 levels, and was improved much from vista). It always disrupts my computer when I run a setup program. And sometimes tell me that "Reinstall ..." or something like that after I finish installing. It makes the applicatiosn installed incorrectly sometimes eventhough I right click the icon and 'Run as administrator'. Usually, I cannnot store file in my Document folder because of permission although I'm logging on as administrator and must restart to fix then it might be OK. I think Microsoft should fix many problems about UAC before Win7 releases on 22nd October. once again, thank you very much

Glad to hear the issue can be resolved by disabling UAC. Accroding to current situation, I am afraid that the issue still should be a permission issue. As you know, disabling UAC is not recommended solution. I suggest you take ownership of this drive and reset folder permission.Use Takeownand CaclsThanks.
